How to Check Your Tire Tread Wear

Last updated 3 years ago

Your tires are important components of your car, so you should be checking them regularly to make sure they are still in good condition. One way to determine how much working life a tire has left is to look at its tread. Watch this video to learn how to check your tire tread wear.

If there are no problems with your car and your suspension is working properly, your tire should show an even tread across the top. However, if your tire is not aligned correctly, you will see more wear on one side than the other; if your tire is angled towards the outside, the outer edge of the tire will be more worn down, and vice versa.
